Santiago Aguirre is the President of the company resulting from the merger between Savills and the leading Spanish independent consultancy firm Aguirre Newman, which he founded together with Stephen Newman in 1988.
Has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate consulting industry and a pioneer in the development of innovative services in various sectors such as offices, retail, logistics, hotels and residential. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in services and solutions associated with urban development, architecture and the layout of the cities of the future.
He is also a Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and a member of the governing board and founder of the Association of Real Estate Consultants (ACI).
Within his personal vision of what his role as a businessman and as a citizen requires, his commitment to civic society initiatives that aspire to build a better world and help those in need plays a very important role. Santiago Aguirre is a member of the Board of Transforma España Foundation, dedicated to promoting the transformation of Spain as a country in order to be more competitive for future challenges, and collaborates with the Lealtad Foundation, whose mission is the independent evaluation of NGOs for the development of donations and volunteering. He also supports other philanthropic projects such as the Fundación Pan y Peces.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management and Administration from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
- Master's Degree in Business Management in Instituto de Empresa (IE).
- Fellow Member de la Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
