The framework replaces the four-year CCS framework agreed in 2021, which in turn replaced the government estates professional services framework, which has a roster of 33 firms. Savills were also a supplier on the previous CCS framework.
The CCS is the government’s central procurement body and this appointment means that Savills, as an appointed adviser, can be chosen from the framework by UK public sector bodies to advise on areas including total estate management, agency and valuation, PFI, building project consultancy, sustainability and development consultancy.
This framework is split into eight lots and the services are available for use by public sector bodies, including central government, local authorities, police, fire, health, education and charities.
Savills is one of 12 firms appointed across all eight lots. They are as follows:
- Surveying and strategic advice
- Total estate management
- Estate (property) management
- Agency and leases management
- Valuations and CPO
- Business rating services
- Integrated work place management
- Private Finance Initiative (PFI)
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2023/24, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £5.3 billion – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
Savills’ teams across the country work closely with Central and Local Government, Development Agencies, Housing Associations, NHS and Education bodies to provide strategic advice and delivery capability across residential, commercial and rural land markets.
Alex McKinlay, Head of Public Sector at Savills, says: “Our appointment to all eight panels is testament to our commitment to this important sector throughout our UK business. We look forward to continuing to add value to our existing public sector clients as well as forging new relationships.”
Richard Rees, Savills UK Managing Director, adds: “Our work with the public sector is hugely important to us, and the CCS framework enables us to deliver our full suite of professional services seamlessly across a variety of public bodies.”
